Photography
Sadhana may occasionally use photography or video to celebrate its community, explain its services and promote studio activities.
We recognise that photographs and video of children require particular care.
Adults
Adults may be photographed or filmed where appropriate notice or consent has been obtained.
Participants should always feel able to say that they do not wish to appear in photographs or video.
Children
Photography and filming involving children requires appropriate parent/guardian consent.
Participation in children’s activities is never conditional upon giving marketing consent.
Where consent is not provided, reasonable steps will be taken to keep that child out of promotional images or footage.
Use of Children’s Names
Children’s full names will not normally be published alongside promotional photographs/video.
Permitted Uses
Subject to the relevant consent, images may be used for:
- Sadhana’s website;
- organic social media;
- printed materials;
- email/digital communications;
- paid advertising where specific consent has been provided.
Taking Images
Photography/filming should:
- have a legitimate Sadhana purpose;
- be appropriate and respectful;
- avoid images that could embarrass or compromise a child;
- avoid unnecessarily revealing personal information.
Devices & Storage
Images should be handled using authorised devices, accounts or agreed processes wherever practical.
Staff should not retain images of children for personal use.
Images should be stored only for as long as reasonably needed for the relevant purpose.
Withdrawal
Adults and parents/guardians may withdraw consent for future use.
Sadhana will stop future use wherever reasonably practical, although it may not always be possible to retrieve printed materials or copies already distributed or shared by third parties.
Concerns
Any concern regarding inappropriate photography, filming or use of images should be reported to Sadhana immediately.
