My journey
I wanted to practise yoga as a young adult, but because of misinformation and physical challenges, I never took that first step, looking back, it feels like years lost.
Finding yoga later in life has been transformative. It has helped me feel safer in my body and my mind, given me a deeper understanding of how my body and mind work together, and taught me that movement doesn’t have to be about pushing harder—it can be about listening more closely.
Like many people, my first experience of yoga was in a gym, at a time when I believed that the more I pushed myself, the better. Shortly after I fell in love with Ashtanga yoga. It was my first yoga love, and it always will be.
Then life happened, work changed and my physical needs with it. My practice softened.
The journey led me to Yin yoga—my second yoga love. Its ability to support healing, calm the nervous system and create lasting change is, in my opinion, greatly underestimated.
Today, my teaching is shaped by both strength and softness. I believe yoga should help you build trust in your body rather than fight against it. Every body is different, and every practice should honour that.
Training & Influences
I qualified as a Hatha Yoga teacher with HFE in Manchester and have had the privilege of practising with and learning from Yvette Sanderson, Calum Thomson, Donna McCaffery, David Swenson, Manju Jois and Scott Johnson.
I later trained with Angela Jervis-Read to become both a Somatic Yin Yoga teacher and a Trau- ma-Informed Somatic Yoga teacher. My practice continues to be inspired by Lucy Watson and the ever-evolving understanding of how movement, the nervous system and wellbeing are deeply connected.
What to Expect
Hatha Yoga
My Hatha classes offer a strong yet compassionate practice, with a focus on alignment, awareness and mindful movement. You’ll be encouraged to explore each posture in a way that works for your body, developing strength, stability and confidence without judgement or pressure.
Somatic Yin Yoga
My Somatic Yin classes are quiet, nourishing and deeply restorative. Through long-held postures, gentle somatic movement and nervous system awareness, you’ll be invited to slow down, reconnect with yourself and release tension held in both body and mind.
These classes aren’t about achieving the “perfect” pose—they’re about discovering what feels right for you.
Whether you’re completely new to yoga or have been practising for years, my hope is that you’ll leave each class feeling calmer, more connected and more at home in yourself.
Karen Stockley
Children’s Yoga, School Holiday Camps, Reiki & Indian Head Massage
My passion is helping children discover moments of calm, confidence and joy through yoga and mindfulness.
My own journey into yoga began over 20 years ago while living and working in Ibiza. During a busy period of my life, yoga became a place where I could slow down, breathe and reconnect with myself. The positive impact it had inspired me to explore holistic wellbeing, leading me to qualify as a certified children’s yoga teacher, alongside training in Reiki (Level 2), Indian head massage, aromatherapy and crystal energy healing.
As a mum to neurodivergent twins, I understand that every child is unique. I know that children don’t always need to sit still or be perfect, they simply need a safe, welcoming space where they feel accepted, can have fun and learn at their own pace.
My classes are filled with imaginative adventures, games, music, movement, breathing exercises and relaxation, giving children the opportunity to explore yoga in a way that feels natural and enjoyable. Along the way, they develop confidence, improve balance and coordination, strengthen their bodies, and learn simple mindfulness techniques that can help them manage big emotions, reduce anxiety and build resilience.
Today’s children are growing up in an increasingly busy world. I believe every child deserves the chance to pause, breathe and simply be a child. My aim is to give them practical tools they can take beyond the yoga mat, supporting their emotional wellbeing, encouraging self-belief and helping them navigate life with kindness, confidence and calm.
There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a child leave class smiling, standing a little taller and believing in themselves. That is why I love what I do.

Pilates, Reformer & Sculpt
I’m Izabel, a Professional Dancer, Fitness Instructor, and qualified Pilates, Sculpt Pilates and Reformer Pilates Teacher.
Movement has always been a huge part of my life. I trained as a Professional Dancer at The Hammond, graduating with Distinction, and have since continued my training with Diplomas in Fitness Instructing, Pilates, Sculpt Pilates and Reformer Pilates.
My classes are all about strength, confidence, flexibility and feeling good in your body. I believe movement should be for everyone, regardless of age, ability or experience. I’m passionate about creating an inclusive, welcoming environment where you can come exactly as you are, challenge yourself at your own pace and leave every class feeling a real sense of accomplishment.
Expect high energy, fun and uplifting sessions designed to help you build strength, connect with your body and develop a strong mind alongside it. I’m a big believer in body positivity, balance and celebrating what our bodies can do, because I truly believe nothing is impossible!
Outside of fitness, I’m a big lover of crystals, positive affirmations and all things that bring good energy. And when I’m not teaching, you’ll probably find me baking, brownies and tiramisu are firm favourites! Because for me, balance is everything.
Come as you are, move your body, challenge yourself and leave feeling amazing.

Flow & Deep Stretch & Vinyasa Flow
I was first introduced to yoga by Vera, and I was quickly hooked. I loved the challenge of the flows and postures and enjoyed going to her classes (and still do!) to see how much I could challenge myself and what I could learn next.
Coming from an engineering background before moving into the corporate world, yoga felt like a world away from anything I had experienced growing up or in my working life.
At first, I was drawn to the physical challenge and the sense of achievement that came with progressing through the practice. Then, in 2024, after many years of practising on and off, Vera introduced me to Yin Yoga through a friend of hers.
It completely changed the way I looked at yoga. I became fascinated by the connection between mind and body, as well as pranayama and the more meditative aspects of the practice. Yoga became something I wanted to explore more deeply, leading me to practise several times a week and eventually undertake my 200-hour yoga teacher training.
Alongside my teacher training, I regularly attend around three classes a week, exploring a mix of Vinyasa, Hatha and Yin, as well as enjoying regular 1:1 private sessions.
I love that there is always something new to discover in yoga, whether that’s building strength, finding stillness, or simply becoming more aware of how I feel.
My aim as a teacher is to share that love of yoga with others. Through both flowing and settling, I hope to create classes where people can challenge themselves, switch off from everyday life, and find a greater sense of empowerment, relaxation and connection, both with themselves and with the people around them.
Viv Parry
Ashtanga Vinyasa, Vinyasa Flow, Hatha Yoga, Rocket Yoga, Restorative Yoga & Mandala
A late adopter of Yoga, it found me at a time when my life was very much in flux, rebuilding myself after my professional career had taken a downward spiral. I had relocated to Macclesfield leaving behind the home where I had brought up my three beautiful daughters and was starting over again financially at a time when others of my age were looking towards retirement. It’s no exaggeration to say that yoga has transformed me and my life, bringing me the framework and foundations from which I am now able to gather some much needed stability and calm.
The practice initially was about trying to find more space and flexibility in my body and was solely a physical practice. In my work life I have always pushed myself hard, assuming entrepreneurial and leadership roles.
As I began to develop my practice I started to realise that the drive and resilience required to keep moving forwards through some challenging and stressful times, had left my body not broken, but definitely blocked with tension and misalignment. Then the more I practiced the stronger I started to feel in my body, my balance improved, I felt more flexible, my posture improved.
I have been lucky to have been taught and guided by some very kind and knowledgeable Ashtanga teachers both in the UK and in Mallorca, who have shown me through skilled physical adjustments that my body is stronger and more flexible than I could ever imagine. They also encouraged me to use breathwork to find more space and expansion in the body.
The combination of the physical progress and introduction of breath awareness brought about an additional unexpected change; I started to feel the calming impact of the practice on my mind and an opening of my heart. The feeling in my heart was deepened as the practice brought me a sense of belonging, meeting like minded souls who were having similar experiences to mine as they deepened their practice. Extending my trainings to include Mandala Vinyasa, added an additional layer of joy.
I have never enjoyed dance probably due to fear and inhibition, but through the Mandala practice I started to feel the pleasure and sense of freedom that can be experienced through movement. Now in my 4th year of practice I have had the realisation that I have found my true self, and have met myself with acceptance and love.
Finally I am at peace in my own body. In my 3rd year of teaching in both yoga studios, gyms and outdoors, I want to share the love of yoga and inspire others to connect with their own bodies in a kind and compassionate way.
Style
I offer the opportunity to support people of any age to find more strength, balance and flexibility through their practice, I do this by creating a safe and trusted space and encouraging focus and exploration. Working with breath is an important part of my guidance as are optional hands on adjustments

Beth Thomas
Ashtanga, Vinyasa Flow, Trauma-Informed yoga, Yoga for Back Care and Wellbeing & Yoga Therapy
Beth has been practicing yoga for over 20 years and teaching for more than 10, in the UK and internationally. Her style is accessible to all with thoughtful movements and sequences, breathwork and meditation- a space to find joy but ultimately create space in the body and calmness in the mind. The true essence of Yoga.
She first discovered yoga through her love of hiking and rock climbing, being drawn to its physical benefits, but soon found its greatest gift was how much calmer, lighter and more grounded she felt after each practice.
Having experienced her own mental and physical health challenges, Beth became fascinated by yoga’s ability to support both body and mind. This curiosity led her through extensive training in Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Trauma-Informed yoga, Yoga for Social Justice and Yoga for Back Care and Wellbeing. These training ran alongside a career in mental health advocacy and regulation, a Master’s in Psychology, and qualifications in mindfulness-based cognitive therapy and stress reduction (MBCT/MBSR).
Beth later completed a Yoga Therapy Diploma and now specialises in supporting people with a wide range of physical and emotional concerns through a yoga therapy lens. She believes everyone has the capacity for greater ease, joy and peace, whatever life brings. Whether you’re joining a Yoga for Vitality class or working with her one-to-one in Yoga Therapy, you’ll be guided with experience, compassion and care.
Victoria Hopkins
Founder, Children’s Yoga & Yin & Nidra
I have always enjoyed movement and keeping my body strong. Whether that was walking, running, going to the gym or dancing, movement has always been part of my life.
But my relationship with my body hasn’t always been a positive one. Through my teenage years and into early adulthood, I struggled with body image and eating disorders, which created a very different relationship with exercise and food. Movement wasn’t always about feeling good or taking care of myself.
Then, in 2017, I was lucky enough to have my one and only daughter, Frankie. Becoming a mum gave me a completely different perspective on my body and, over time, on how I wanted to take care of myself. both physically and mentally.
Like lots of people, I had first discovered yoga through being a gym member in my twenties. I dipped my toe in and out of classes because I had this nagging feeling that yoga was probably the counterbalance I needed to the long runs and hard gym workouts. There was something telling me I needed to slow down.
I tried different classes and different styles, but yoga didn’t really find me until much later. While I was on maternity leave, I went to a local studio, owned by a friend and deeply experienced teacher, I joined to take Frankie to baby yoga and baby massage.
For the first time, I experienced what it felt like to be part of a yoga studio that was also a community. It felt safe, open, welcoming and supportive, everything I now believe a studio should feel like. This is where it all began and I will always be grateful for those tender moments with this community and studio owner at the Yoga Tree.
I began practising there and this is where it all began. I became curious. I was excited by this whole world that I felt I’d finally found.
From there I began practising in Manchester, Macclesfield and in Alderley Edge with a variety of teachers who unlocked so many different experiences for me. For the first time, I started learning how to observe myself. To notice my thoughts, my reactions and my patterns, rather than simply being carried along by them.
I was around 40 by then and I remember thinking that I wished I had known this in my 20’s and 30’s – how different might some of those years have felt if I’d had these practices then? But I also really believe that yoga finds you when you need it most.
Donna Edwards
Vinyasa Flow, Hatha Yoga, Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga & Mandala
Donna came to find the practice of yoga through a love for movement. After years of intensive dance industry training and struggles with mental health, Donna made her way to the mat to recover and heal the connection with her self. The practice opened up to mean more than just movement and became a way of living.
Inspired by how much this practice had helped her out of a dark place, she embarked on her 200 hour teacher training in Rishikesh, India in 2020 with the desire to share this practice and it’s teachings from the heart of her own experience.
A devoted student to yoga and its wisdom traditions, Donna has studied and furthered her training in India, the UK and Guatemala. She seeks to constantly evolve as a student and teacher of this practice. Honouring it’s roots, whilst exploring them through the lens of modern life. In her classes she pulls inspiration from and explores different aspects of yogic philosophy, wisdom traditions and our connection to nature. Each class a relaxed, intentional and creative experience inspiring a deeper mind/body connection.
Donna is passionate about creating a safe space for your practice to unfold.
Encouraging the practice to become a blueprint for deeper self enquiry on the mat, and to spark a curiosity of how you live your practice off the mat. Donna wishes each class to feel like a sacred ritual in your day, a gift back to yourself and your journey.
